HELLO
I've been self-employed since I was 19, and every chapter of my work has come back to the same thing: listening closely, believing in people, and walking beside them while something new comes into being.
Today that looks like supporting families as a birth doula, co-running a midwifery practice, creative direction and a small number of 1:1 sessions for business owners.
MY STORY
I started my career in esthetics where I really found my groove as a makeup artist and nail tech. Over the years I did makeup for hundreds of grads and brides, and my husband and I bought and ran a hair salon. I started noticing how many past clients came back to me for birth support when they were expecting their babies. Those years taught me that people really open up when they feel safe, and that the way you care for someone on a big day stays with them.
Fourteen years ago, I was called to birth work. I've been a doula ever since, with most of my births in the last nine years: at home, in hospital, in water, or in the OR. Being a respectful, steady witness at birth is the deepest work I know.
Along the way I also created and ran a mastermind for business owners, built a marketing agency (branding, websites, social media and content), and ran a shop. I still work as a creative director, shaping brands visually from the first moodboard to the finished identity. Now I co-own and co-direct a midwifery practice and am passionate about supporting and nurturing access to quality care throughout such a vulnerable time.
It might sound like a lot of different things. To me it's one thread: presence.

outside of work
I've been with my husband since 2005 (high school sweethearts, awww). We have two boys who keep us laughing (and busy). You'll find us playing sports, at the pool, thrifting, or lounging/napping at home like our life depends on it. My friends and chosen family are also a huge part of my heart.
And if you want to know how I'm really doing, just ask how many times I've been to the beach lately. My life satisfaction tracks it almost perfectly, and lately the numbers are looking very good.
